SNI’S CSR

At regional and local level, SNI Group’s CSR policy is reflected in the deployment of a continuous improvement process that aims to respond more effectively to the expectations of stakeholders (employees, tenants, suppliers, partners, investors, etc.).

"As one of France’s major housing operators, we act in the general interest and we strive to do this in a responsible manner vis-à-vis all of our stakeholders. And this is what we wished to convey by drawing up a formally documented CSR policy that provides us with a concrete framework for managing our initiatives and keeping you informed of these." André Yché, Chairman of the Management Board, SNI Group

A responsible housing operator

At regional and local level, SNI Group’s CSR policy is reflected in the deployment of a continuous improvement process that aims to respond more effectively to the expectations of stakeholders (employees, tenants, suppliers, partners, investors, etc.).

A strengthened CSR policy

Following two audits carried out in 2013 and 2015 by Vigeo, a European CSR rating agency, work began in 2016 on a process that was jointly sponsored by a number of the Group’s businesses and entities and headed up by a CSR Commission.

Construction of a materiality matrix in 2016

In 2016, the CSR Commission identified and defined SNI Group’s CSR focuses. 19 of these were identified in total and they were then organised within a matrix for the purpose of ranking them.

An external consultant was commissioned to liaise with the Group’s external stakeholders in order to adjust the position of the various different focuses within the materiality matrix. Nearly 40 people were interviewed from local authorities, tenant associations, institutions, suppliers, shareholders, etc.

Formal documentation of 19 CSR commitments and an action plan

This approach was part of a cross-cutting and collegial consultation process and in January 2017, it culminated in formal documentation of 19 commitments, structured around 6 focuses, which provide a common framework for each subsidiary’s CSR policy.

This ensures that CSR is an integral part of all employees’ day-to-day concerns and that their actions fit with SNI’s overall strategic objectives. It culminated in a related action plan.

AMPERE Gestion, a subsidiary of SNI, is fully committed to the Group’s CSR policy and has incorporated these focuses into its own investment and fund management strategies.
